It is very important that you give us your correct size when ordering as it is difficult to adjust the size without using a laser welder and risking damage to the ring. The paper finger sizers you might find on the internet and print out are not accurate so please do not use them. We have experimented and found that they vary from a 1/4 size to a full size in error. Please visit a local jeweler (or two) and get your finger sized properly. We depend on you, the customer, to provide us with the correct size so please do not estimate or guess. Special order size rings are NOT RETURNABLE.

Refunds are allowed on stock items (not made to order or special order rings) within 10 days of your receipt of the item. Please call or email us within the 10 days and notify us of your intention to return the stock item. Stock items returned AFTER 10 days must be in new condition and will receive a shop credit only. Stock items are typically earrings, pendants and bracelets. Most rings are not in stock and are made to order in your ring size and will not be returnable.

No returns or refunds on stock items after 14 days for any reason unless agreed upon prior to ordering. SPECIAL ORDER SIZES, MADE TO ORDER RINGS, SPECIAL REQUESTS AND CUSTOM PIECES ARE NOT RETURNABLE. Please notify us immediately if you receive your item and it has been damaged in shipment or if it does not meet your expectations. Here are some simple instructions to keep your turquoise inlay rings looking great. These care instructions apply to all our turquoise rings and accent gemstones and inlay including dinosaur bone, opal, lapis, lab opal, chrysoprase and onyx.

First, never clean your turquoise ring in an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner. Chemicals and heat may negatively affect the epoxy over a period of time. Also, avoid contact with household cleaners and solvents, as they may breakdown the epoxy as well. If your turquoise inlay is accented by diamonds or other faceted stones, simply brush the stones with a soft toothbrush and mild soap from the top and the bottom. Prolonged exposure to water or oils may weaken the bond between the turquoise and the epoxy used to hold it in the channel. Remove any tarnish with a polishing cloth and do not dip the ring in a tarnish removal liquid.

Second, wear your turquoise ring with care and common sense. Remove your ring before performing any activity that might damage it, such as exercising, yard work, swimming, dishwashing, etc. Do not wear your inlay ring on a finger adjacent to another ring. The rings will grind against each other and damage the silver and the inlay. Wearing them on the same finger is fine. When not wearing your ring, store it in a cloth bag or box where your other jewelry cannot ding or scratch it. Doing so will also prolong the life of your jewelry and extend the period you can go before needing to be refinished.

Finally, when the surface of the turquoise or the silver loses its luster, return the piece for refinishing. If you have an accident and break a section of inlay, we can drill it out and replace it without a problem. We recommend returning Hileman Silver Jewelry repairs directly to us. Most jewelers are not experienced with inlay methods and do not have stones to match the ones in your jewelry.

We do all our own photography and go to great lengths to capture the true colors of our jewelry samples. We use 5000k daylight fluorescent bulbs in a light tent to minimize reflections and bring out the sparkle in the gemstones. The colors are not altered and are the true colors of the stones under the optimal lighting of the light tent. Natural sunlight, fluorescent, and different incandescent light sources may make the colors appear different than what is shown on your screen. Your monitor settings as well as the browser you view the images in may also affect the colors shown. 

Some photos may show matching items that are available to match the piece described but are not included in the price, such as a matching wedding band. Please contact us if there is any confusion about what you are purchasing.

Sterling silver may react with your body chemistry and turn your finger green, or in some cases black, where the ring contacts the skin. If you have a tendency to react to silver you should consider ordering our silver jewelry in stainless steel or our highly recommended tarnish resistant Continuum sterling silver. Our silver jewelry is not rhodium plated like some sterling silver. Please understand that we have no way of knowing if you are part of the small percentage of the population that could experience the "green finger" reaction. We do not accept special order ring size returns due to a copper reaction. Should this occur a simple fix is to paint the inside of the ring with clear nail polish to create a barrier between your skin and the silver. Reapply as needed.
